Health and Wellness Seminars Begin at Balance Pilates & Yoga Centers!!
Balance Pilates & Yoga Centers is proud to announce the start of a new series of FREE health and wellness seminars which will take place at both the Northwest Bradenton studio, as well as the East SR64 studio. These brief seminars will focus on teaching students about a variety of health topics from "relieving back pain" to "understanding body cleansing"!! Often times, we will bring in an expert to present specific topics - and students will have an opportunity to practice related Pilates and/or yoga exercises related to the current theme of the seminar!

This Month in September: Join us for Relieving Pain and Nurturing Healthy Feet! Are you aware that the foot has the most number of bones (26 in each foot) and the most number of joints (33 in each!) than any other area of the body the same size? Did you know that 25% of the bones in the human body are located in the feet, which are made up from 52 bones? That's A LOT of moving parts!!
Why be concerned about the health of your feet? The average person walks about 10,000 steps a day. During a lifetime it is thought that a person has walked enough steps top have traveled around the planet more than 4 times, which is approximately 115,000 miles! And, the feet can be one of the most indicative signs of an individual's health. Early symptoms for diabetes, arthritis and circulatory problems can often show themselves initially in the feet. So being aware of the health of your feet is extremely important!
Join us this month to learn more about your feet, and how to keep them healthy and pain free! We'll discuss anatomy, common foot disorders, and concentrate on teaching you easy activities you can do at home to improve the health of your feet.
