Balance Pilates & Yoga Centers also offers SMALL, personal group classes! Limiting class sizes while providing cutting-edge, affordable group exercise is what Balance is known for! Sure, we may have an occassional Yoga class with 10-12 students......but typical classes at Balance range in size from 2 to 6! So, you're not just a body taking up real estate in our group classes! You're an important part of every instructors class! You feel like you're getting private instruction at group class rates!

Pilates Equipment Classes
Yoga and Pilates Matwork
(requires 2 private sessions before enrollment)

Reformer for Everybody: (up to 6 students): A full-body strength and flexibility workout on the Pilates Reformer for all levels! Focus is on proper muscle engagement, emphasizing core work, using Joseph Pilates’ original equipment. Students are taken through footwork, abdominal work, arm work, leg work, and more using introductory to intermediate exercises.
Pilates Mat and More: Classic Pilates mat with the teacher’s individual twist! Come try the PilateStick, a wall-mountable, resistance training tool. Each class incorporates the added challenge of various props from our bottomless toy box, from BEamfit balancing beams to Pilates Power Circles! Students may also experience a fusion of Yoga and Pilates during this class - which is sure to balance your strength and increase your flexibility!
Tower for Everybody: (up to 8 students): A full-body strength and flexibility workout on the Pilates Tower. Experience the benefits and variety the full range of Pilates equipment has to offer! The Tower utilizes spring resistance in a more ‘open-chain’, challenging format. The student works from a mat-base placed on the Reformer, and uses springs, straps, and bars to stretch and strengthen the body!
Mind, Body and Core: This strength-based class takes the body through functional movements in various planes of motion to teach the mind and muscles to work more efficiently in daily life. This class emphasizes work using abdominal muscles, and deepening the mind's connection to the core. Be prepared to feel your abs!
Pilates Intermediate Reformer: (up to 6 students): A fast-paced class utilizing the full range of Pilates equipment. Participant must be cleared by an instructor in order to participate in this intermediate to advanced class. Class works toward proficiency and progression within the Pilates Method using core strength, balance, and flexibilty. Prepare to be challenged!
Gentle Yoga: A soft, restorative yoga class taught to soothing music. This is a flowing, stretch-based practice great for any body, at anytime. Genrtle Yoga is a class for students who are just beginning their yoga journey, and are teaching thier body to move, stretch, and hold positions.
Cardio Pilates: (up to 6 students): A fast-paced class utilizing the full range of Pilates equipment for strength as well as cardiovascular training. This class utilizes the jump board component of the Reformer to add a cardio challenge to the Pilates session. Builds strength and endurance through fast-paced transitions and flow. Prepare to sweat!
Yoga for Everybody: This class will accomodate beginners, as well as experienced yogis. Your Instructor will provide variations to asanas so all students benefit from the class. Students will be escorted through a series of abdominal work, strength and balancing positions, and breathwork.
MVe Chair for Everybody: (up to 6 students): A fast-paced class utilizing the MVe Chair and incorporating Pilates Fundamentals such as Footwork, Abdominal Series, and more! Have fun building your Pilates skills, as this class is conducted to MUSIC!! As an advancement of the standard on-your-back Pilates session, the Chair work focuses on strength and balance while exercises are performed on a small (chair) seat. This is a truly innovative equipment class set to fun music! Prepare to work!
Yoga Challenge: A class for more experienced students who would like a vigorous class based on strength within flexibility. This class is for the seasoned practitioner, and includes a powerful Astanga/Anusara practice that will leave you sweaty and satisfied! A deep focus is placed on strength and balancing positions, while engaging the core muscles and deepening the concentration.
Pilates Reformer/Chair Combo: (up to 6 students): A fast-paced class utilizing the Peak Pilates Reformer, and the MVe Chair! This is an exciting class split into two distinct thirty minute blocks- Reformer work for everybody and the progressive standing work of the Peak Pilates MVe chair. Although this class is designed for everybody, it adds challenge to the basic reformer workout. This is a great way to be introduced to the MVe Chair if you haven't tried it already!
Zumba: Lose yourself, and those love handles, in the booty-shaking, body-bouncing rhythms of Latin and Indian music! Try this oh-so-fun cardio class once and you’ll be hooked on the results! This class will accomodate beginners, intermediate, and advanced fitness students. Don't be self-conscious! Come enjoy yourself while you work out!
